Has your pet been poisoned by pesticides?
Pesticides have the potential to harm our pets.
Pets are regularly exposed to pesticides in parks and playgrounds, and on paths and pavements soon after they’ve been sprayed. Pets are also exposed to agricultural pesticides in fields and on pathways during walks in the countryside. Weedkillers, moss and algae killers, slug control, rodenticide and insecticide products can all be hazardous.
We want to put an end to this hidden problem so are collecting case studies to show decision-makers that they need to take action.
If you know or suspect that you have experienced an incident of pet poisoning by pesticides we want to hear from you.
PAN UK is, unfortunately, not qualified to give advice to pet owners regarding specific poisoning incidents. For advice of this sort, please contact your vet. Do also consider contacting your local council (or whichever land manager is responsible for the area where your pet was poisoned) to let them know that an incident has taken place. To help warn other pet owners, you could also get in touch with your local newspaper or radio station and post on social media.
